No. Properly installed turf with a perforated backing over a dry, level concrete slab will not trap moisture. It acts as a barrier and allows for airflow, unlike carpet which absorbs moisture.
Yes. Concrete must be clean, level, and dry. We recommend using a shock-absorbing foam underpad (available as integrated backing) for added comfort and insulation.
Liquid will flow through the turf and backing. For potential spills, you can simply rinse the area. For basements with known water issues, we advise addressing the root cause before installation.
